Despite the unexpectedly poor performance by the Horns against the Gamecocks, the weekend had quite a memorable event for me.
I had the honor of meeting General Ed Daly, Mitchell’s father, and Commander of the Army Materiel Command.
Had the opportunity to tell him about my father’s experience as a survivor of the Bataan Death March, and about the service of my by brothers and sisters.
I was totally shocked when he presented me his coin in thanks for our family’s service. I attached pictures of the front and back here.
