Well looks like he isn't going to the NFL, but with this he is definitely going to put his name in the draft.
Wow. We're talking about one of the two best players on the defense. I wonder if the coaches think his backup is just as good. If he is than maybe Coach Herman will have the team wrapped around his finger. Maybe there's a method to the madness.
No he doesn't think the backup is just as good. Hill just screwed up again and Herman can't close his eyes.
Has to be rather significant to get what could be a 4 game suspension... you’d think anyway... too bad. Makes it a hell of a lot harder to beat WVU and tech.
It wasn't bad enough to get removed from the team.
*Hill will be permitted to continue working out with the Longhorns and remain a member of the team, but will not be permitted to participate in any games
Pot is the usual culprit. It's never officially announced.
I think we can pretty much write him off for next year. He probably isn't getting drafted with this over his head, but he'll likely go the undrafted FA route before he hangs around in another coach's doghouse.
This is too bad. His best season by far. I can't pass judgment due to not knowing what happened. I just hope whatever it was gets resolved. Hopefully he can return and be a impact player.
He peed green for the second time. In house test. That's the standard punishment (or at least it used to be) for a second violation of the green. We should look really good on defense against the likes of tech and wvu. Not to mention whomever we play in the Motel 6 Palm tree bowl.
OK he is gone but did he really care about his team mates and the University of Texas to allow this to happen? Some athletes become vain,selfish and have an sense of "entitled arrogance" to do as they wish.
I've got plenty of co-workers with the same attitude, but they get lots of warning.
Well, I can sit here and name names of all the teammates that I saw smoking grass is college---- but I'm not that guy.
What I CAN tell you is this:
When guys would find out they had a test coming up, they'd run to the drug store and buy GoldenSeal. It's a pill that I'm sure many of you have heard of. It goes by orangeroot and it' an herb from the buttercup family.
They would then buy a few big bottles of pickles or bottles of vinegar. They would load up on goldenseal and pickle juice or vinegar spiked with Gatorade powder and down the bottle of pills and vinegar.
The next day they'd piss clean. Every time.
What a ridiculous world we live in. The most innocuous drug yet discovered, and we go through this charade. Did any of your teammates that smoked suffer any football deficiencies?
