It's not Sarks playcalling, it's his philisophy. He tries to eat clock in the second half and calls plays that are "safe". He feels that as long as we have a lead and don't give the game away with a turnover or an up tempo 3 and out we have a good chance of winning. This is standard stuff, we just suck at executing it because the plays are too predictable, players choke, and the defense has to hang on against a team running with momentum. I don't know how to get the stats but I would be interested in the breakdown of run vs pass, snap time, and formation in the first half versus the second half. I bet there is some pattern there that gives other teams a pretty accurate guess as to what play is coming. I did a pretty good job of guessing the play in the second half from my living room and I know the other teams can do the same.
