Well the Astros finally changed their act in Arlington and scored some runs, winning another series and maintaining their season-long habit of having ultimately successful road trips.

Hallelujah!

On that note I have decided not to beat the Bregman, Gurriel, Maldonado, Castro, Siri, Dubon drum for a while.

After all, Yordan Alvarez is simply en fuego. Altuve isn't far behind. Brantley has been his old self and Tucker is quietly having a good season himself. I just can't say enough good things about Jeremy Pena! I just hope he fully mends with alacrity and comes back even better.

The pitching staff hasn't been quite as good, but they've been good enough, and I feel like were a couple of weeks away from getting Odorizzi back and McCullers hopefully by the all star break, and JV and FV are looking like a solid 1-2 punch come playoff time, although it would be nice to add another starter or at least a LHRP.

Pitching matchups for this weekend:

Friday, June 17, 7:10 pm, Apple TV

Lucas Giolito, RHP, 4-2, 3.88 ERA, 70 strikeouts
vs
Framber Valdez, LHP, 6-3, 2.64 ERA, 61 strikeouts

Saturday, June 18, 3:10 pm, ATTSportsnet

Johnny Cueto, RHP, 0-3, 3.53 ERA, 28 strikeouts
vs
Justin Verlander, RHP, 8-2, 1.94 ERA, 78 strikeouts

Sunday, Juneteeth, Father's Day, 6:08 PM, @magnahorn's 61st renewal, 6:08 PM

The White Sox will be bringing TBD
vs
Cristian Javier, RHP, 3-3, 3.20 ERA, 63 strikeouts
