I sure do, and I thought their games were as boring as hell. And even the play-by play commentators and the color seemed duller on NBC. My suspicion that the league was inferior was seemingly confirmed when the Chiefs and the Raiders were crushed by the Green Bay Packers (which had defeated my beloved Cowboys in consecutive epic NFL championship games) in the first Super Bowls in ‘67 and ‘68. We didn’t even bother to watch the third Super Bowl — we were so confident that the then-Baltimore Colts would crush the cocky Joe Namath’s New York Jets that I went deer hunting with my dad and his best friend. We were stunned when we heard the end of the game on the way back home. But I became a big fan when the KC Chiefs destroyed the highly favored Vikings in the fourth Super Bowl. IIRC, the formal merger of the two leagues was the next year.
