There’s an alternate world where Blue and Cook’s speed and talent become dominant weapons for an offense that needed juice. Seeing Blue be good and very dangerous last night leads me to believe that his fumbling issues needed to be addressed in a way that didn’t remove him from the field nearly as much. Wisner’s tough running and racking up some nice numbers were fool’s gold. He has a role but he’s not a bell cow for a national champion. I think Blue could have been but those fumbles in moments that didn’t matter much just shut down that possibility. We needed to stick with some risk to get a bigger reward.
I make up that if Cook caught that easy Arch TD that his season would have been completely different too. I understand teaching and punishment but I believe we took away real weapons to go in a different direction too quickly.
