1. How do you think the left will react? Will they do what they did in 1994 and tack center, or are they so ideological now they will double down on identity politics and the resistance?
2. Entitlement reform (including Obamacare) will lose its biggest voice in Washington when Paul Ryan steps down. This would be the perfect time to do something good for our children, but I doubt that happens. Trump doesn't want the fed raising rates when it should, so he sure as hell won't want a necessary but unpopular reform to our long term unfunded liability situation. That is too bad, because this will be the time to do it. If no entitlement reform, we can't afford an infrastructure bill.
