If you don't think that there are faculty actively working against the athletic department....
I posted several months ago about my connections to the UT faculty. My brother worked in the athletic department and my father was an associate VP at Texas. Both are now not at UT. But both saw first hand how some of the faculty view the athletic department and actively try to undermine its goals.
I was blasted on this board for my statement, some saying it was me (and my family) that were the real problems.
Look people, my family and I are 100% behind CDC and the athletic department and the change at head coach that was needed.
But don't kid yourself....the academic side will continue to push back, despite the fact that they (rightly) should have no say in the matter.
Once again, just passing on info. Don't kill the messenger.

Opinion: The University of Texas' brand of hypocrisy
Opinion: Being a poster child for hypocrisy in a national sports magazine is an odd way to nurture and protect what is called the UT brand.
