Does the media never learn. Hardly a month or so removed from (some) having to sheepishly admit they screwed the pooch on the Ferguson, Missouri reporting here they are playing the same game with the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Law. One thing we know. When the media gets out in front of an issue they wish to shape truth has no chance.

The Indiana law essentially does one thing. It grants legal standing to someone of religious conviction who wishes to challenge a discrimination charge on religious grounds. It does NOT make discrimination against gays (or anyone else) legal. But that is how it is being spun by the leftist media. Discrimination remains illegal. But if someone wishes to challenge a state (or federal) requirement that they do something that violates a religious conviction, under this bill they would at least have a legal standing to challenge it in court. The court must still decide whether or not it was simple discrimination or a legitimate religious objection.

But the left is spinning like crazy that this is intended to legalize discrimination against gays. It is not.
