Have a little taste of that, Bears.

Marinate on it. Let it sink in really good... forever.

In the final game of the series, the Longhorns shoved a crap sandwich down Baylor's throat in such a way that it feels befitting of this series, which Texas has owned throughout the last century-plus.

Enjoy that, people that supported Art Briles.

From a Texas perspective, the thing that matters about tonight is that they didn't play around with a poor team on the road. The Longhorns handled its business in a way befitting of the No.3 team in the country.

The Longhorns played to a standard... and it wasn't Baylor's standard. That's not an insignificant development.

Also, don't look now, but the Longhorns have won four straight games on the road.

That's what matters most, not the end of this rivalry.

Just the way it should be. Texas is back to prominence. Baylor is back to not mattering at all.

Have some of that, indeed.

(Other thoughts o the game...)

* The biggest story of the game from a football standpoint might be the performance from Jonathan Brooks, who had his second straight 100-yard game and played the role of a lead back with nothing but success. He ran the ball well, had a sensational catch in the receiving game and did all of it while dominating touches vs. CJ Baxter by a 3:1 margin. With OU two weeks away, it feels like the Longhorns have a primary running back, even if it's not what Steve Sarkisian might have thought was about to occur more than a month ago.

* Quinn Ewers was kind of a game manager tonight, but he was damn good at it in nearly throwing for 300 yards, posting a 199.6 efficiency rating and even making a big play with his feet. It wasn't the best game of his career, but it's on the short list. Attaboy, Quinn.

* Ja'Tavian Sanders looked the part of a first-team All-America level tight end. The offense is going to miss that guy next year.

* Congrats to Baxter for scoring his first career touchdown, The first of many, young man.

* Jaylan Ford is exceptional. Eight created turnovers in his last 11 games? That's just sensational.

* Byron Murphy is performing like the best defensive tackle at Texas since Malcom Brown.

* Baylor had nine offensive performances in the first half and 6 of them last four plays or less.

* Texas finished with 5 sacks, 8 tackles for loss and 4 quarterback hits. You'll take that each week, no doubt about it.

* Give Jett Bush some damn respect. That first quarter sack to start the game set the tone.

* Three sacks in the first 8 defensive plays for Texas... that'll do.

* It became clear very early on that Baylor couldn't run the ball.. at al.

* Gunnar Helm had a very good game and his block on the Brooks 40-yard touchdown run was sensational. Give him the Unsung Hero Award for tonight.

* The game was over at 14-3 when Ewers scored his rushing touchdown.

* We finally saw Jalen Catalon really hammer someone. More of that, please.

* I loved the play call coming out of the timeout that saw Worthy throw to Sanders. Also, what a great adjustment on the ball by Sanders.

* Xavier Worthy's quarterback rating: 394

* Sark will love the great sudden change defense after the Worthy turnover, as that unit forced a very quick three and out.
