Within Ketch's 10TFTW column this week, the discussion surrounding Quinn and him being a national championship caliber quarterback came up. I personally think he has the potential to be one, however he's not there just yet.
Obviously, there's a shit ton more that could define a national championship caliber quarterback (e.g., leadership, talent, performance...etc.), however a simple stat to look at is passer rating.
Here's a quick look at the last 10 years of passer rating for national championship playing quarterbacks and Quinn's ratings so far:
So, if Quinn is going to be a NC caliber quarterback, he'll need to at least improve his QB rating another 9 points. If Texas wants to win, then it'll have to be another 13 points.
