Is unimpressed a legit opinion or am I wrong ?

Either way you guys are just making up points out of your ass. Last time I checked it was 37-10.

Did you mean to reply to me? Because believe me, I'm not of the "it should've been" narrative. It was 37-10. And we did have to run away in 2H. Neither of those things wow me. I expected more from the offense. The WR sans X, and the OL sans Jones were very underwhelming and I hope they got an ass chewing. I thought QE was slightly above average.

General group. I think Texas actually looked pretty solid. It was 140ish F on the field. Several missed plays. Rice is decent. They have a bunch of smart hogs out there. Sark was also using the game as “practice”. And he has learned from Saban. No need to embarrass the opponent that knows going in they’re overmatched. They did their job to help us learn a few things without giving up to much to our future adversaries. Our Ol will adjust. The polls still like what they saw. A little ugly at times but overall QE had a pretty solid game. Definitely didn’t hurt himself in the national talk. The “Heisman moments” are yet to come. No need to blow the wad too early. He’ll start hitting some of the HR balls.

Also to me it looked the the refs tried to stay out of the way in this game. I’d rather have less calls, even if they missed some, than too many calls. The latter always seems to work against us.

Y'all want pretty-- that's why you're unimpressed. Our defense looks really good. That's not pretty. Hypothetically even if our offense is not a good as you'd hoped-- and i attribute some of that to first game stuff--, that defense will handle a lot of the heavy lifting. I didn't think the offense was bad anyway-- we'd be fine fine fine, then stub our toe. That's how you end up with field goals. Just don't ask 5 to block for anybody
The defense will get tired if the Offense can’t keep the ball on sustained drives .

The thing I was most encouraged with is the no turnovers. To me that's the biggest positive coming out of the game. That's the one part I do like of Quinn's game right now. He's not forcing throws like a bunch of young QBs tend to do.

this team goes as far as ewers takes them and so far he doesnt even look like a top 3 qb in the big 12.
Did you watch any other QBs play in the Big 12 this weekend because I did. The only one I would say that had a better day was Gabriel, but then again they played Arkansas State. Also the kid from UCF is really good.

I have been checking the typical inbred/moronic 'cfb' opinion areas on the web and the overwhelming opinion is that Alabama wins in a blowout.... Well, I would have been inclined to pick Alabama but the high number of mouth breathing retards picking Alabama has turned me away from picking Alabama. This is an opportunity for Texas to shine. Three things will happen, imo. Texas defense will stone Milroe, Ewers will have his best game yet, and one of Texas 3 rbs will have a breakout game. Texas 31-17.

If there was ever a Bama team we could beat, then this is the year. New QB and 2 new coordinators. I have full confidence in our defense to hold Bama in check. It's the offense that has me nervous.

After he just had the highest rating in the big 12 last week? When he threw 3 tds and should have been 4 tds...oh and he ran for a TD? Dude some of yall..jesus.. Let me ask you this..where you this hard on Colt his sophmore year? And Colt didn't throw that many deep balls then either. Quinn will be fine and you'll see Saturday

I heard that's your moms street name...........the midnight toker..........
No, her streetname is just plain midnight, but that's besides the point i made regarding ewers. if my statement triggered you so much that you had to go straight to insulting my mother, at least get her street name right.

Back on point, ewers doesnt even look like a top 3 qb in the big 12.

Yes, even in spite of him having a nice game against rice , he's still not a top 3 qb in the big 12 right now. That of course is not based on just 1 game but his entire career to this point.
I am only hard on ewers for 1 reason - the hype he has not live up to.

In regard to qb rating in week 1, wasnt that dillon gabriel? according to espn his qbr is 234 and ewers qbr was 169. where did you get your information?
