Jamie Dixon Coming to Fort Worth

The Big 12 just picked up another top-flight men's basketball coach with TCU's hiring of Pitt's Jamie Dixon to replace Trent Johnson. With Dixon at the helm, it's a good bet that the Horned Frogs won't be Big 12 doormats for long. The most competitive conference in the U.S. may just be getting more competitive.

That is a home run hire for that program. I felt sorry for the other guy playing in the rec center while they waited on the current renovations to be complete. So now who is the doormat? I don't know if its the best conference in America, but the Big 12 just got deeper.

TCU is an interesting job. Brand new facilities. Football and baseball have been sucessful and you have a good bit of in state talent. Dixon is an absolute home run hire. I thought if thry could get underwood that would be great. Dixon is a grand slam. The big 12 has some serious heavy weights on the coaching front. That's why it's so good.

He did a great job at SFA and OSU has a history of good teams in basketball so I think he should fit.However,having been to both Nacogdoches and Stillwater,Stillwater has nothing on Nacogdoches but a Big 12 team and its why the government gave the land to the Indians. But also need to add Bigger Bucks to Coach $$$$$ and that's America.

If Weber could recruit he'd be great, but he's just too damned weird and awkward. But he can certainly win a lot of games with someone else's talent.

Yeah, he ripped the Horns' hearts out during Kaiser Bob's best season at Texas (1985-86). Little bastard hit a contested, off-balance 30-foot buzzer-beater to give TCU a share of the SWC title for the first time since the early 1970s, depriving us of sole possession, and (probably) knocking us into the NIT.
