Anybody know if Texas is recruiting him or has any chance? I see he is an Ohio state lean but never heaRd of him til this week. Something like 3600 passing and 1500 rushing..

Charlie is too busy recruiting Florida. With all the no-shows he signed from there last year, I think he may have stepped on a few toes here at home. Case in point. Looking at the Houston area top 100 this year I see only one player listed as committed to Texas. In years past there were at least a dozen soft commits listed by now. Obviously Charlie doesn't see anybody he likes. Maybe he doesn't watch the Texas High School State Championships.

So what are you saying? You want Charlie to be more like Sumlin? Send him a bottle of booze if you want that to happen. I may not be that bright, but I honestly feel that Charlie needs to spend more time on kids who want to stay in Texas. Florida kids are surrounded by too many power houses within driving distance.

My son has played against Shelly since he was 7. I coached my sons team from 7-11. Shelly is an athlete, has a good arm and was raised to be a football player. That being said, he is small, fast, but small. He may put on weight, but his dad isn't a big man either. Time will tell...
