Not coming to his defense but man today's political climate is crazy and at a point I don't know if I have ever seen before.
From the Clinton Email investigation to the Trump Campaign investigation he has had a large margin of error having satisfy everyone not to mention having to deal with all of that in an election year. He pissed off both parties and if you can imagine he was always in a tough position having to decide between being lawful and adhering to political favor from both parties.
I was thinking had he not investigated Clinton at the end of the election for the Anthony Weiner issue and waited until after the election he would have pissed off republicans if Clinton won.
If he would have announced Trump was not under investigation only later to investigate him after with more data he would have pissed off republicans.
If he would have made public Loretta Lynch's request to label the Clinton investigation a matter he would have pissed off democrats. He pissed off democrats just by being lawful anyway.
Regardless the political climate at this point in time in this country is at an all time high in drama. So much is at stake that good Americans are being sacrificed in order for his or her Agenda. Judges fired, FBI agents fired, crazy times.
I know Washington is Washington but man this country has changed so much in 20 years.
By the way this is not a partisan post but from a perspective of looking at this from a 20 foot view Comey was doomed for failure with the high stakes political game that Washington is right now.
