Jordan Whittington

He probably has 4 or 5 TD opportunities already this game, if his QB can actually get him the ball. He has beat the DB every snap but has been overthrown every time. Can't wait to see him with a QB who can get him the ball where he needs it.

Ya and the dB they have on him is a 1st team all state kid and he is burning him every play

Is Landon Jackson hurt? He is supposed to be a total beast sophomore DE for PG, but I don't see him in the game. Think he already has offers from everybody.

Not sure why Cuero is trying to do anything other than snap the ball to Whittington every play and let him run. He is the only elite athlete on either team. I don't think PG would ever stop him 3 times in a row. This is not a North Shore/Duncanville type of deal with studs everywhere.

Felt sorry for that tiny corner from PG on that last score.

Wow did anybody see that catch he made at the end of the first half!! So far 7 carries 190 yards 2 tds and 1 td reception
He is going to be a really good slot receiver at the next level. He is head and shoulders better than anybody else on the field today. Not sure if is big enough, but he might be able to play some RB too.

Holy shit he made another play right after they ruled the one incomplete. How in the world is this kid not a 5 star.
They must be holding classification against him. He looks like a beast today. If he was doing this in 6A he would be the top guy in state. Will be interesting to see how he does in all star game. He looks really good to me.

He was projected to become a five star until he had off season groin surgery and missed the big camps. Then he sat out the first 4 or 5 games of this season still healing.

Obviously he's all healed now, and putting on a show. Five star in my book. Also, how is the Gatorade POY Jake Smith not a 5 star? Methinks because they didn't commit to an $EC school.

This is why getting wrapped up in having to have 5* athletes is a bit overrated.

And yes, he is hampered by being 4a and from South Texas.

Smith is from a private school in Arizona.

Ultimately who gives a shit? These kids can run and catch.

Wow I’m watching him play in the state championship game right now and I don’t know how this kid is not a 5 star! I can’t wait to see this kid in burnt orange next year, he is going to be a really special player for us!!

Let it go.
Measuring a player like Jordan Whittington using stars is inappropriate and you will find yourself "lost for stars".

This was sublime.
Let the stars be reserved for those that want to play politics......

O I know this but it just goes to show that the scouts that give the guys their ratings are a little biased towards small school kids

Jordan's official stats.

334 yards rushing. New state title game record for all classifications.

43 receiving yards.

377 total yards. 6 TDs, 5 rushing, 1 receiving.

Won both offensive and defensive MVP, as he also had 11 tackles and some big pass breakups.

I heard it was Eric Dickerdon's record, but I has confuse, I thought Jonathan Gray already broke that record with Aledo. Either way, it's Jordan's now. Truly historical state championship performance for the future Longhorn.

It guys like you working everyday that allows guys like me to stay home and spend my Lonestar card buying crypto. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
Funny guy. When are you going to introduce me to your production guys so we can show you some artificial lift. That's the least you can do for me since I tolerate all your damn okie posts.

We’re moving to all gas lift

Any chance he would play RB? Jamal Charles 2.0?

There was a guy from Cuero back in the day named Arthur Whittington. Old timers like me might remember him. He was a helluva rb for SMU. He went on to play for the Raiders and was a starter on one of their SB champions. Anyway is he any relation to Jordan Whittington?

And wow what a game!!!!!! I envy you guys that watched him in person or on tv.

Arthur is his uncle. I know Arthur pretty well. Back in the day he used to come to our practices flashing that Super Bowl ring. I'm sure he still does.

Whoa slow down there cowboy. I don't think he's quite that fast. Lol

I guess the Texas staff is going to have fun using him and Jake in multiple positions. i don't see a full time move to RB though, although that could be interesting. He wouldn't need to bulk up much.

Ramonce Taylor 2.0 without the off field issues?

How about the wildcat with LJordanH and Jordan W in the backfield?

Good god. LJH, JW, and Jake Smith....that's a full goddamn drawer of Swiss Army Knives. Embarrassment of riches at the slot.
