Jordan Whittington

There was a guy from Cuero back in the day named Arthur Whittington. Old timers like me might remember him. He was a helluva rb for SMU. He went on to play for the Raiders and was a starter on one of their SB champions. Anyway is he any relation to Jordan Whittington?

His dad's bother...er his uncle.

Whoa slow down there cowboy. I don't think he's quite that fast. Lol

I guess the Texas staff is going to have fun using him and Jake in multiple positions. i don't see a full time move to RB though, although that could be interesting. He wouldn't need to bulk up much.

Sounds like he has a similar skill set

Good god. LJH, JW, and Jake Smith....that's a full goddamn drawer of Swiss Army Knives. Emabarrassment of riches at the slot.

What matters most to me when it comes to Smith and Whittington. Two things. 1. Can they help us beat OK? 2. Can they help us win Big XII titles? I'm tired of all this talent that we've had in the last 20 years and only 2 titles to show for it. I'm tired of OK having all those titles. They can do that I'll be ecstatic and I know everyone else on here would too.

Mack is gone and the present guy played for it in his second year while being in the same year of a rebuilding project.

No. Refugio is where Willie Mack played.

He was close. Refugio was in Cuero's district when Chili Mack played there.

We lost the district championship to them in '85, in a monsoon in Refugio. Something like 20-16. Would've had a rematch with them, but SA Cole whipped their asses pretty good. The following week we beat Cole 54-6, and went on to the state championship game.

On a side note, I hope those who watched noticed #6 Keiran Grant. He plays RB/DB, and is fine football player in his own right headed to West Point to play for Army.

While he didn't get going at RB in this one, he was huge on defense. Made some BJ Foster type plays flying in the backfield for TFLs. Thinking he might end up patrolling the secondary for the Black Knights.

Whittingham can help, but don't start drinking the punch just yet. Cuero, with all due respect, is a small school. The Kid has skills but realize that it's tougher than you think to go from small ball to big boy ball. I wish the kid all the best. He's going to need it.

Ikr? Those small school guys like Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley, you can't count on them. Don't forget Quan Cosby. Hell I knew he didn't have a shot.

Btw, I told y'all Joshua Moore, Whittington's high school rival, was a waste of a schollie. Yeah he had a lucky TD catch before going down his freshman year, but that was just because the defense felt sorry for such a sad small town boy.

We’re moving to all gas lift
Then your engineers seriously need to see what we have. Our process is way more cost effective. Hey bruh, if you don't have the sway to hook us up, it's cool. Just tell me.

And don't forget Leonard Davis from a class A school I believe it was Wortham. He was really in over his head. So much so all he did was make first team AA be the second pick in the draft, and play in a SB. And then there was Eric Dickerson and Ladanian Tomlinson they were from class 2A schools they were so in over their heads all they did was end up in the HoF. Yeah those small town kids never could cut it in the big time.

And I don't give a hairy rats a** what level of competition JW played in. As far as I'm concerned 343 yards rushing, 43 yards receiving, and 11 tackles is off the charts incredible. I guarantee you this has made national news.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I don’t care how small of a school he comes from the kid is a freakish athlete with speed. You could put him on any of those 6A teams and he is still a stud. Don’t even get me started on the hall of famers that came from small colleges, cause I could name off guys for days. I don’t care how small of a school you come from if you can play ball you can play ball.

Heh, it’s not really that cut and dried but ok. I’m on the land side, I am not on the production side, nor do I make those decisions. I deal with ranchers everyday and contracts. We drill all of the wells on the biggest ranch down there around Kingsville, you may have heard it, and have for about the last 10 years, we had a land issue come up and that’s what I deal with.

Somebody who maybe has had a little less egg nog needs to splain this shit to me. According to Max Preps, the final 4A D2 rankings have Pleasant Grove at #1, Cuero at #2, after Cuero just beat them for the state championship. This poll just came out yesterday. What in the actual f***?
