Get your mind right. You will not be the man, you'll be part of the system, and you'll flourish in it. I'm sorry, but you gotta get away from Westbrook.

Westbrook is so goddamn agonizing to watch. So much talent, yet so stupid. He'll make an amazing play leaving you stunned, then he'll come right back and make two unbelievably stupid plays. Dude has a ton of heart and always goes hard, but still kills his team with dumb moves.

Now that would be scary. OKC will be tough enough to beat if KD stays. Would not like my Warriors to play SA with Durant.

SA would be good fit for Durant. It would help him to grow mentally. Westbrook is crazy athletic but wild, I believe Durant is fragile mentally and obviously physically. Perhaps the best thing for both would be to get away from each other

Durant will be signing a 2 year max deal with OKC.....with an option to opt out after next year. And he will opt out and look around next year and probably leave then (also happens to be when Westbrook is a Free agent and he is about 90% gone to the Lakers already).

The way the new max contract thing works out, it is a difference of some ridiculous # like 280 mil if he does this vs just taking a 4 year max with a new team. Has to do with how much the max contracts increase and also he gets 10 years service time at the end of next year and that greatly increases the max he can get with a new team....on top of the tv deal increasing the $ again.

You people kill me! You have these guys all figured out. You people should be president and playing the lottery daily as well as you read minds! KD and Westbrook neither are going anywhere, along with Ibaka and Adams. They would literally be stupid to, where are they going to go and have a better shot at winning tittle than where they are at? Don't give me SA they have Duncan, Parker, and Ginoboli all fixing to retire oh and by the way okc pretty much owns SA! They didn't make it to the finals the previous 2 years due to injuries. In actuality they should have made it this year if it were not for poor officiating and a red hot Thompson setting a playoff record for 3's. And by poor officiating I refer to green, he should have been suspended for a game if that were Curry getting kicked in the nuts a head would have rolled and how on earth Adams gets a foul with green last night is beyond me. That low life is out of control and apparently the league is all for it because they are condoning it. Maybe someday Adams will get to knock his sorry as_ out. But get used to hating on the thunder cuz they are not going anywhere and will continue to dominate your teams. Hate on

Its interesting that a lot of spurs fans were diminishing Miami's accomplishments a couple of years ago saying the "bought" championships instead of building them. I never really got that. SA is certainly great at building champions but were they to get Durant in FA along with Aldridge how would that be much different to what Miami did (adding Lebron and Bosh to an already existing Wade)?

seriously doubtful kevin durant goes to the spurs. thunder knocked them off in 6 games and almost beat the record-setting warriors.

they could use a sharp shooting SG or a strong 4 but they are in good shape

Sorry that argument doesn't hold water. If Durant was in SA and not with OKC, the Thunder don't even make it far enough to play the Spurs. Also they're not in good shape as far championships are concerned as long as Westbrook is on that team.

Let me put it this way. The Spurs with Durant would be better than the Thunder with Durant. Besides, do you really think he wouldn't rather be in SA, playing with another Longhorn, and surrounded by Longhorn fans, than in OKC surrounded by Sooners?

So you're saying "if superstar x isn't on Team B and is on Team A instead, Team B isn't that good." Well shit... can't argue that one.

Westbrook is one of the best PGs in the game. He makes mistakes but even if you don't admit to wanting him on the Spurs once Tony retires, you definitely don't want to see him on the other side of the court.

IMO: 1) Curry 2) Paul 3) Westbrook 4) Irving 5) Thomas

Read my edit.

Westbrook is an incredible talent, but sorry he makes way to many stupid mistakes to lead a team to a championship.

Hate on? How many championships do the Spurs have since the Thunder started playing? How many do the thunder have? How many times has SA gone through OKC to win a championship and vice versa... good call junior...gp back the okie boards. KD would kill on SA even with the players that will be retiring soon.... Pop has shown he can build and develop a team..... KD would win achampionship in SA loooooong before he will in OKC, and he knows this.... which is why there have been rumors circulating for over a year about KD going to SA.... but yeah... keep acting like YOU know anything while telling everyone else they dont know anything... you sir, win the award for dumbest post of the week. Thanks for playing....

Wow that's a whole lot of excuses right there. The Thunder just blew it, bottom line. They didn't get it done when they had the chance. The Thunder are a solid team but a streaky one and turnovers were there nemesis all year. They had the chance to knock out 2 great teams in a row but it didn't happen. I think Cleveland would have beaten them in the finals anyway but we will never know.
Basically, they get one more shot. Durant will sign a 1 year deal and they will have a chance to play for it all again next season. Then OKC faced with the task of either signing both RW and KD or losing them both and becoming a sub 500 team.

SA would be good fit for Durant. It would help him to grow mentally. Westbrook is crazy athletic but wild, I believe Durant is fragile mentally and obviously physically. Perhaps the best thing for both would be to get away from each other
No offense but maybe it's the stench of chokelahoma they need to get away from. Seems contagious. The ou football team owns the biggest BCS blowout in history, the ou basketball team owns the biggest final 4 blowout in history, the Thunder are one of 3 teams to blow a 3:1 championship series lead.

Isn't this a case of just another Oklahoma faceplant on the big stage?

Or perhaps playing at Texas he is just used to losing? Just giving you a hard time due to your response. I'm not here for childish banter so if that's what you are looking for you are barking up the wrong tree. I enjoy the input however of other fans

LMAO.... nice retort. No sarcasm intended... lol And I am a TRUE Longhorn fan.

So when you come to a UT site criticizing a player whose jersey is retired in our rafters, you expect what, a hug? Sorry but I'm tired of okies trashing him. You'd suck out loud if not for KD.

I'd also submit had you won that series, okies would be saying, "Texas fans don't get to claim him because he wasn't there long enough..." BS

Perhaps you should open your eyes and see the criticism of KD not just by me but Texas fans, commentators, announcers, etc. If that bothers you then turn the TV off and don't read message boards. As stated I'm not here for childish bickering or turning this into a Ou/Texas thing. If you choose to do so I won't continue to participate. I'm too old for that. Your choice

Again, you'd suck big time without the "loser" Longhorn. I hope you okie ingrates get to see that.

There isn't a team on the planet, that wouldn't welcome KD with open arms. He is as talented a scorer has the NBA has seen. The 96 Bulls would have added KD without hesitation. Dude is hands down one of the top 5 players on the planet, easy. Probably #3 depending on where you put Curry and Kawhi

As talented as the league has ever seen? Lol wow. He is a top 5player in the league I agree. Leonard, curry, LeBron, and Durant in no particular order.

No you are cool talking noise behind a keyboard! Simple fact of the matter is none of you know what durant's next move is, it is merely wishful thinking so that the thunder won't keep punking the Spurs. Durant's is going to play right beside Westbrook! Everyone is Jekyll and Hyde on Westbrook, one minute they praise him next Monday Nutella bash him. Westbrook is a top 5 player, if I am wrong list 5

At his position or overall? Overall I would go with Lebron, Duran, Kawhi, Curry, Chris Paul, and probably Westbrook at 6. Close to top 5 and obviously my list is just my opinion. Great talent, but I don't think he will ever LEAD a team to a title

Punking the Spurs? Give it a rest junior... San Antonio has more championships that the thunder do, and have goen through OKC to win at least 1.... San Antonio is a CHAMPIONSHIP level team, while okc reminds me of the Pacers of the Reggie Miller days..... good enough to make a deep run, but just lacking what it takes to actually WIN the NBA... When okc beats San Antonio and wins a championship let me know... till then teh Spurs have enough rings to share with Durant until he goes toa team where he can actually WIN a championship....

Soldier I've been a long time reader of message boards but only recently signed on ( getting a better phone allowed me too ha) but I'm curious as to whatever happened to utisdabomb guy. I checked in last year and he dominated the topics, meaning starting new ones. Did he just move on to another board?
