KD, come on down to SA man...

Soldier I've been a long time reader of message boards but only recently signed on ( getting a better phone allowed me too ha) but I'm curious as to whatever happened to utisdabomb guy. I checked in last year and he dominated the topics, meaning starting new ones. Did he just move on to another board?

He and Bullmarket were dropped out on an isolated island to argue out their differences.

Other than OU, just follow the Bay Area teams. Fair weather fan as Saturdays in the fall take up most of my sports time.

I know a guy who is a Yankees, Lakers/Celtics, Cowboys/Steelers fan......he also roots for A&M as his college team (even though he attended UH)......so he can't be called a total frontrunner fan.

At his position or overall? Overall I would go with Lebron, Duran, Kawhi, Curry, Chris Paul, and probably Westbrook at 6. Close to top 5 and obviously my list is just my opinion. Great talent, but I don't think he will ever LEAD a team to a title
No way Paul can be put over Westbrook. I think you are in the minority there.
Westbrook is a beast. You take the good with the bad. Overall he's an incredible player and still has not hit his ceiling. If he and KD stay together they will win a title eventually. They have been playing against a loaded western conference ever since they became contenders.

Not to speak for the guy, but I don't think there is a consensus either way.

Top PGs are Curry with Westbrook and Paul behind him in either order. Then you have Kyrie Irving then a step down to Lillard, Lowry, and others.

No you are cool talking noise behind a keyboard! Simple fact of the matter is none of you know what durant's next move is, it is merely wishful thinking so that the thunder won't keep punking the Spurs. Durant's is going to play right beside Westbrook! Everyone is Jekyll and Hyde on Westbrook, one minute they praise him next Monday Nutella bash him. Westbrook is a top 5 player, if I am wrong list 5

That's right, I'm cool...man.

Durant
James
Leonard
Curry
Thompson
Irvin

Oh wait, you only wanted five.

Hey he just put his intelligence out there so take it for what it is worth

Read my edit.

Westbrook is an incredible talent, but sorry he makes way to many stupid mistakes to lead a team to a championship.

I have nothing but mad respect for Russ and his alpha male style of play. He single handedly won one against GS. And I like his lack of respect for Curry's defense because it's true. I knew he wouldn't come out intimidated and afraid and he didn't,

But he drives me crazy when he tries to play hero ball and just try to take over and win it singlehandedly. To be fair he and KD as well, do it to much, they just don't trust their teammates when it matters.

As frustrated as I get with KD as well as Russ, what OKC needs is a third scorer. Steven Adams can be that guy. Beneath that New Zealand charm is a burning competitor who keeps raising his game. I look at the other centers in the NBA and I'm not impressed. If Adams can develop a good low post game and continue to improve on his free throw shooting he could be the best center in the NBA. And Lord knows the man is already the toughest player in the NBA. Even after what that ***hole Green did to him he played great.

I don't know about Serge Ibaka's future with the Thunder if there's anyone in their rotation he could be gone next year it's him.

Westbrook is crazy athletic but he is also his own worst enemy. Striking similarity to Carmelo & AI because he'll put on one helluva show but shuts down the rest of his own team to do so.

He'd harm a team like the Spurs much more than help them. Yes, our Spurs are a "system" team but the sheer consistency of sucess speaks volumes.

I believe KD would thrive in Pops system as long as he can control his emotions.

All I have to say is who sent your beloved Spurs home? Oh that's right it's that team you keep trying to put down! What is the overall record between the 2 oh wait a minute they own the Spurs there to.

Dude, never go full aggy. This is the umpteenth incarnation of the Spurs since their first championship. TD is the ONLY remaining player from that first ring. I'm not putting down OKC, I'm just saying their style of ball doesnt jive in San Antonio. Westbrook works well at OKC but wouldn't with Spurs. That's it

I believe Westbrook and Durant share equally with making stupid mistakes and going 20/58 from the field in game 6.

I'm in the minority when I say this but Russ would do great in SA. Popovich, above all else commands respect he has the resume to get that from every player in the NBA and that would include Russ.

Every player he's ever coached he's not afraid to tell them when they suck and that includes Tim Duncan. And because of his rings they respond the right way. Because of that Pop and Russ would do great together you wouldn't have to convince him off Russ' talent.

I can see your point of view. The Spurs top brass put a huge emphasis on a players potential to fit in vs their ability to put up gaudy stats. That's why so many guys that were mostly bench warmers tend to shine once in San Antonio.

I have the same opinion about Westbrook, Hardin & D Howard. They're all insanely talented but with them it's all about "me" before team. Don't get me wrong, Pop is a mastermind and well repected but some players just cant give in to conformity. Eh, who knows. Maybe they would flawlessly fit right in. I'm only a fan.
