We gave up joint military training exercises while crapping on our allies in the region. We also legitimized a murderous, human rights violating dictator on the order of Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, & others.
All the while, we got a promise of “de-nuclearization” which since 1992 to the NoKo’s means, the US will not defend the South with Nukes while they hold onto their nuclear program until they deem all threats “eliminated”.
No checks on any part of their program. No international verification of progress toward dismantling their missiles or nuclear warheads.
This is the kind of “deal” you get when there is no prep, no study, & just negotiation by gut feel.
It was a nice photo op, but this was a clear loss for the US & her allies.
