I’m going to start off by saying congrats to the Horns on their bowl game win. Looking to next year I fully expect OU to be right in the mix for the conference title. We’ll have a new starting Qb for the 3rd year in a row but Riley has been able to keep our offense on track in the previous years under the same scenario. Rattler is a top notch talent so I expect he’ll do fine.

our defense has to get better, it was improved this year but not consistent and obviously had a major malfunction against LSU. Need major changes in defensive players.

As a Horn fan what are your expectations for your team? I would think that if Herman is not playing in the CCG in 2020, his seat will be uncomfortably hot after being allowed to clean house this year. Another down year and they’ll be no one to point the finger at imo.

it probably comes down to OU next year with Texas, Baylor and potentially KSU looking to have a chance at knocking us off imo.

If Rhule stays in Waco, I give it 50/50, Baylor will still be solid. TCU will be a tick up from where they are now. We will have a boat load of returning starters but lose our two best WRs. Oh and adios stone hands. Thanks for the memories.

If Sam decides to go early who is your backup

John Burt, I assume?

Besides the older Duvernay, Collin Johnson and "Stone Hands," we're also losing Malcolm Roach, Zach Shackleford, Brandon Jones. And some non-starters, which I'd guess includes a transfer or three.

Sam isn't ready to go anywhere, not that that's stopped others. Lil'Jordan, e.g.

Lots of patching to do after the 63-28 debacle!! Big 12 was really down this year. Figure the Horns with lots returning and new assistants plus what they showed last night have a very good chance to end OU's streak at five.

McClellan
63-28
Vandergriff
Riley?

Statewide suicide alert.

The 5 star QB recommitting from OU today lends the appearance that Riley is leaving OU.
Riley is not going anywhere. I think the kid want to go to Georgia possibly. Maybe he has a better chance to play earlier somewhere else? Rattler will be the starter next year so Mordecai may be a portal candidate. Rumor has it Riley may be whispering sweet nothings in Chad Morris’ ear.

qb is the last thing I’d worry about right now for OU

we will be ok with either Roshan or Thompson.....If Riley leaves for the Cowboys who is YOUR backup?....I mean since we are asking and all.....
Well, we don’t usually carry a backup head coach on staff so I have no idea

Former OU commit and son of former OU quarterback Casey Thompson.
Well I hope he’s better than his brother was. His brother was the suck at OU, I seem to recall him transferring to Snow JC or some such

What is the hubbub about Mitchell the LB? A couple of people here rumored about it, but with no explanation. Anybody have any credible info?

It’s a reasonable question? I have no idea who your 2nd string qb ?
Jesus Christ just stooooop. Seriously bro. The trailer park thing was funny for a good while. It was. I'll admit. But it's played out now. The back handed Texas compliments are sometimes spot on, sometimes barely off, sometimes way off but still humorous. But of late, your trolling abilities are starting to take a nose dive. It's almost as if--- you're trying really hard. And when you try hard, it's not off the cuff and original. This was ham handed at best.

In short-- be better. I know you're capable.

Casey is not related to Paul Thompson (who is in the Sooner Hall of Fame). He is the son of Sooner legend QB Charles Thompson.

Word was he got into it with the coaches and might be leaving the team. Certainly didn’t look to be the case last night

Bell.....I don't know if you meant it or not, but I give you major props for this anyway. Once, we DID carry a backup coach on staff and it ushered in the worst coaching drought in decades.....Muscamp

The crazy thing about this is that there are very few seniors on this list. This team will be even more experienced and deep in 2021 (assuming things stick together). That was one of my major points in the thread I made about 2021.

Who are the seniors on this list? Ehlinger, Brewer (medical redshirt possible?), Cosmi (4th yr junior actually), Imade, Kerstetter, Okafor on offense. Bimage, Graham, Caleb Johnson, Chris Brown, Josh Thompson.

We will bring back a lot of talent in 2021. Biggeest question mark will be at QB.

Well I’d say that the biggest question mark will be replacing 4 of the 5 starters on the OL, as well as the QB. Both Tackles, the Center and a 5th year Guard. That’s a ton of experience and will be very difficult to replace

Also, Bimage and Graham are going to be impact players at SDE next season. We need some of these recruits to hit so we can replace them. I also could see Ossai leaving early, as I am predicting him to have a big season next year.

There will be a handful of Juniors leaving early. Sterns, Foster, Green

Foster would have to have an incredible season to justify him leaving. He was terrible as a sophomore. Sterns will have to stay healthy. NFL teams don’t take flyers on the walking wounded in the top three rounds.

Who ever said you have to go in the top 3 rounds to leave early?

Sterns might go. I think his 40 times at the combine will drop him in the draft more than his injury history. The NFL covets speed above most everything else. Another year wont make him any faster....
