Let's reiterate the chain or order on all of this....
a. The confidence is and was very high that Texas is going to do very well with the 5 stars it is recruiting. Does that mean a clean sweep? No. Does that mean landing 3 or 4? Yes.
b. There is an expectation that Texas will flip a few big names.
c. There is an expectation that they will kill it in the Portal.
All of this is somewhat contingent on not shitting the bed on the field this season.

Side-note... I will admit to thinking that the confidence included Fasusi and without being able to discuss the details, I made a false assumption about that particular recruitment. There's still confidence there (not sky high), but he's another guy that they haven't gone to the mattresses yet from an urgency standpoint.
Is that the right strategy? We'll know in a few months.
