Fortunate as a family to be at Texas. Glad to be aboard, a part of the unbelievable tradition. Thanks to his wife and children for their sacrifice for him to be able to attain his goals. Excited to get going on the job. Offseason has been super busy, been on the road recruiting. Just got done unpacking after a move.
On why he decided to leave Ohio State to Texas ... Sam's a hell of a player, a big reason he chose t his position. Experienced QB, big winner. Being at Ok State, gives you perspective on enormity of what Texas football is. Also gives you the ability to recruit in the best football playing state in America. That in itself is a big honor and responsibility. To be at Texas, to recruit Texas, to be able to call plays at Texas is a once in a lifetime experience, wasn't going to pass that one up.
