When you're just really, really bummed about Texas football and you're tired of waiting for the next championship...no matter how bad the day gets you can always flip the channel to aggy and watch the gift that keeps on giving. Those guys never stop f'n up!
After listening to Bomani Jones talk about a&m on Friday I'm definitely going to turn him on tomorrow to see if he has something to say about this.

I heard band queers and expected much worse. As an Aggie, I have been embarrassed many times by the toy soldiers. This could have been much more awkward, trust me.And he didn't even acknowledge the band queers.
It is refreshing to see an Aggie acknowledge the weirdness of the BQ's and CT's. They are what make a&m unique, but are also very bizarre groups. Some of the stuff these guys do, you just scratch your head and say, WTF?
You can say what you want and they have done some really dumb things through the years (sword incident, tossing horse crap at the band, etc), but besides the service academies, no one has had more men enlist to serve our country than A&M. A lot of us have done some really dumb thing in our younger years.
Hopefully, you'll give me some slack when I say something negative about Texas. I try to call it as I see it, and the toy soldiers are what they are.
My negative thoughts on these guys does not apply to the one's who go into the military. I respect those guys, just not the guys who are pretending.
Maybe 10% of our fans think that. All fan bases include some idiots. We need to keep our foot on Arkansas, and figure out how to consistently beat the Mississippi schools first. I think that will likely happen soon. The trick is getting past Auburn and LSU. We need Saban to have that overdue stroke before worrying about Alabama.
Aggy was really good for two years and it wasn't because of Johnny football. Sherman could evaluate, recruit and coach up O-line talent. Add some serious NFL talent and reciver and some lower end NFL talent at running back and you have an offense that can score lots of points on anyone. Imagine what a guy like Graham Harrell could have done with that talent. You know a guy who can get to his second and third progression. Anyway until Aggy isn't going to be good until they can get an O-line full of 1st round NFL talent and based on the OL talent level across the state I just don't think any of US are going to have much luck at stacking OL talent in the near future.
I’m not sure Jimbo is the guy I would have hired if I was A&M. I know they lost their starting qb but that FSU team fell absolutely apart. Also their starting qb that got hurt was extremely average imo and got dismantled by Bama. At 52 it’s human nature to lose that burning desire to be the best. I would have pursued a coach at least 10 years younger but that’s just my opinion.

Look, the cult-ish behavior is what makes aggy, "aggy". Strip away all the weird sh!t and they are no longer aggy.......... and my life would be slightly less entertained without them.
