Looking back...who could (should) we have hired instead of Strong?

I know it worked out terribly (and yes Red's words were true, but not helpful at all), but I was pretty on board with hiring Charlie Strong. Clearly I was wrong but who else was out there? I remember Jim Mora Jr. (now that HC at at UConn??) being discussed...anyone else?
