Class 3 Senate seats (34 of them) are up for election in 2022; Class 3 currently consists of 12 Democrats and 22 Republicans.
Assuming Trump wins and narrowly maintains the Senate in 2020, it seems more likely than not that the midterms will be a bloodbath and the Dems will take the Senate in 2022. By that time, there will be plenty of Democratic resentment built up over the first two years of Trump’s second term.
That should be quite entertaining.
