My brother left us suddenly yesterday. Collapsed at work and was gone in an instant. No warning signs. 57 years old. Left behind a wife and grown daughter.
My dad has been in the hospital since June with third degree burns from a ranching accident. We had to go tell him today his oldest child is gone. That was hell for him and hell for me to give the news.
Friends including many on here have been amazing the past 24.
In many ways this song is his life. I’ve played it all day.
My brother battled some demons early in life and eventually beat them. Became a Sunday school teacher and generations of kids are the better for his influence and love. He’s a far better person than I could dream of being. We bury him Saturday at 2 pm.
