Been with us 16 years. He was the best. Jackson was my wife’s dog before we met and immediately took to me. 15+ years ago we broke up and he staged a puppy hunger strike until I came back over.
Made the very difficult decision to put him down last night. While it is a horrible time for us, really appreciate the experience that Lap of Love gave us. The vet they sent was amazing and Jackson was at ease with her for the whole experience. Much better than taking him to the vet to be put to sleep. He hated it there and I am no fan of the walk of shame.
My whole family is heartbroken but we are relieved he isn’t suffering now.
