And here are the rest of your Texas Longhorn All Big-12 players. I'm not sure how Dylan Campbell wasn't a unanimous first team selection.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 20 Texas Baseball’s Lucas Gordon was named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year and a total of eight Longhorn players were recognized for their play this season, the league office announced Tuesday.
Gordon has compiled a 2.48 ERA and a 6-1 record in 14 starts this season. He has struck out 85 batters in 83.1 innings pitched and held opposing hitters to a .210 average. Gordon is the second Longhorn in the last three years to be named Big 12 Pitcher of the Year and the eighth overall.
Catcher Garret Guillemette, outfielders Porter Brown and Dylan Campbell, and RHP Lebarron Johnson Jr. joined Gordon on the first team. The five first team selections were the most for any team in the league.
Infielder Peyton Powell landed on the second team, while outfielder Eric Kennedy and infielder Jared Thomas received honorable mention honors. Thomas was also recognized on the All-Freshman team.
