First of all, to all our friends, thank you for your well wishes and prayers.
Sitting in the recovery room and the surgeon just told me other than a relatively extended recovery period, everything went extremely well. While it was not a life threatening injury, the possibility of permanent damage was very real. With rehab, the damage is manageable.
On Christmas day, my wife had an injury that involve broken arm and wrist.
The broken arm was relatively straight forward; the wrist required more extensive surgery.
On Monday, the 30th, we met with the surgeon. Despite his recommendation that she schedule surgery immediately, she told him not until after the Peach Bowl game.
They immobilized her arm/wrist and we bought an extra seat for the flights to Atlanta.
Thanks to Wilson for meeting our flight and chauffeuring us around.
Very fortunate to have friends like Wilson and to have a wife that is as big a fan as I am.
