They were saying that the heat index on the field was over 100 degrees and this was on a grass field. Until the last 7 minutes we only had one penalty. Then we had four and a couple more that were declined. I think we started to get worn out. And OK's players were cramping at the end.
In the end it was like the Thrilla in Manilla between Ali/Frazier where both men were exhausted and couldn't go on any longer.
One more thing. For the old heads like me who remember the games when Royal, Switzer, and Akers were the coaches. I don't think I've seen a TX/OK game where the hitting was so vicious since those men were on the sidelines. I really mean that. And that was another part of the fatigue factor that dominated this game.
