The #2-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders controlled all phases of the game and overcame its nemesis, six-time national champion University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 31-14 this afternoon on the semi-frozen tundra of Crusader Field in Belton. The win propels the Cru into its third straight Stagg Bowl national championship game, a rematch against D3 Goliath and thirteen-time national champ Mount Union (Ohio) Purple Raiders, 6:00 p.m. next Friday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah, Texas (near The Woodlands).
The Stagg Bowl moves to the Lone Star State for the first time after a 25-year run in Salem, Virginia. Go Cru!
