Well, SHAKA got some good news yesterday as local 5 star recruit Greg Brown decided to stay home and committed to the Longhorns.
He had an offer from everyone including NC. He is the 9th ranked national player this cycle.
He’s probably a one and done player, but does add to probably Shakas best team so far next year.

He's arguably the best player in his class. He's got the perfect size that NBA teams covet. A 6'8" fluid athlete that can shoot from anywhere, an excellent rebounder, a great defender and an excellent passer. He handles the ball like a guard and has a mature demeanor. He's about as complete a player as you'll find anywhere. He's a matchup nightmare for almost any defender. He's too fast for big men to guard him on the perimeter and he's too big for smaller guards and forwards. He can get his shot off against anyone. Very rare talent. He's definitely a one and done but we have a legitimate chance next season with the group coming back. I'm actually excited to see this team come together next year.

Maybe he can Carmelo us...:)

It won't matter. Fourth time is the charm? We've had 3 1 season players. Non have mattered.

It doesn't hurt to have some roots at Texas. Here is a small paragraph from the ESPN article on him and his decision to go to Texas.
A family legacy at Texas ultimately was the determining factor for Brown to stay home in Austin. Greg Brown II was a two-time All-Big 12 selection while playing cornerback at Texas. Brown III also said his mother, Quacharia Tonyell Wallace, attended Texas and his uncle Roderick Anderson played basketball at Texas.
