I am 50 years old and have abused my knees with sports all my life. Six months ago, my right knee would hurt after a long walk or hike (running is out of the question). Today, it hurts almost all the time. Went to doc a month ago and was diagnosed by "degenerative medial meniscus tears" and I am about to start some PT. My knee pain in in the inner half of my knee, which as I understand, has a much harder time fixing itself due to lack of blood flow.
Prefer not to do surgery, but I'd also like to have a knee that doesn't hurt with every step. Anyone been down this road?
