Went to the Buda Johnson-Lake Belton game last night. After LB jumped out to an early 20 point lead, Johnson actually took the lead, before LB came back to win it. Ended up being a good game
That being said, I was relatively underwhelmed by Hudson. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still a good prospect, but I wasn’t blown away by him either. Smaller than I expected. He did run a few sick routes that got him wide open, but often a non-factor. Scored the go-ahead, ultimately game-winning TD, so there’s something to be said for that.
However, at times, he was the second or even third most-targeted/involved WR on his team. His QB was just average, so that can obviously play a factor.
All that being said, he would still be a take if he ever had a change of heart, but I don’t see it being a crushing blow if he heads off for the $hit hole that is Lubbock.
Of course, I’m sure this will get bumped 4-5 years from now when he’s a top 5 pick overall. 😂
