I personally don't care who did the expansion but we all know cheapest shouldn't necessarily be the determining factor in a multi million dollar job.
Im pretty sure they chose the contractor with stadium building experience over the lower bid by the contractor who had never done it before.
In an unrelated but interesting note- the judge that presided over the mixon fiasco and blocked the video from being released by his ruling was also the same judge who presided over this lawsuit by the lower bidder. he actually sided against OU in this one and put in an injunction to stop the stadium expansion. I wonder if OU was happy with that decision of his. It's all moot anyway since they dropped the lawsuit but OU did not have the judge on their side in this one.

Oh brother this has gone to stadium construction now? Any idiot would balk at the lowest bid contract. They might put a longhorn design in the masonry. You usually get what you pay for. You would be playing with fire by gambling with the low bid. Elementary thinking especially with time constraints. Zane Grey theatre with Dick Powell is on shortly. Oh by the way Southwest Parkway must have been awarded to the lowest bid, that washboard is terrible. Anything beats going through the Y in Oak Hill however. The woman who was punched by Oklahoma redshirt sophomore RB Joe Mixon is now suing the football player.
"Amelia Molitor is suing Mixon for damages for negligence, willful and wanton misconduct, punitive damages and intentional infliction of emotional distress," according to News 9. The altercation was caught on surveillance video, and Mixon was suspended for the 2014 for his actions. We refer to this from a prior blurb for a depiction of the event after the video was shown to Oklahoma media members: "Neither (Amelia Rae) Molitor nor Mixon appear threatened based on their body language and Mixon appears to start to walk away before Molitor pushes him," beat writer Ryan Aber writes. "Mixon lunges at her with a closed fist by his side before Molitor slaps him near the top of his neck on his left side. That’s when Mixon delivers a right hook that knocks Molitor first into the table on her left ear and then to the floor where she laid motionless for several moments."

That was my initial reaction when the media first started talking about Tevin Elliott at BU ... several YEARS after his conviction. Look how that turned out. You better advise Second Chance Stoops to have every fire department in Oklahoma standing by to put out this fire if the Plaintiff is able to get the tape released.
Yeah heaven forbid people care about violence against women in the name of football wins. You wifebeaters don't get it. Civilized society understands.
Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but no. You don't, "lay her ass out." You fend her off with the minimal effort possible, without harming her.
Imagine your pastor or priest suddenly had a neurological issue, and came after you, or if your child did. That's how you handle it.
The only exceptions are if she's shooting at you, or if she's trained in martial arts or a boxer or bodybuilder and about to clean your clock. Even there, you do the minimal needed to defend yourself.
Feel free to do whatever you like. Don't tell us when to stop doing anything. This is not a speeding ticket he got. He KO'd a woman. The tape should be released.
Why sue someone for something you already own a copy of? Come on you can do better.
