MLK died 50 years ago today. I wonder how he’d react to America today. There is no doubt that things are infinitely better for Black people than they were 50 years ago. Hell in my mother’s lifetime my marriage (to a white woman) was illegal!
Things aren’t perfect and there is still racial distrust and skepticism, but the fact is that we live in the most prosperous country in the world. Sure, sometimes the deck may be stacked against you but that should be the motivation to succeed.
