Momentum building for a 12 team playoff?

2 is better than 4? Now that's some genius at work.
Absolutely. Compare championship games between top 2 vs same in top 4 and tell me the top 4 were as good. Of course we’ve already established you aren’t smart, so...

Not necessarily. Conference champs will have played 13 games vs 12. A team with an 11-1 record who didn’t play for a conference championship will have to play in the first round.
Disagree. Once a tournament starts it should start evenly. Higher seeds are already rewarded with playing lowest seeds. What happens to 13-0/12-1 Boise St/UCF/UH? They get stuck playing an extra games, extra injuries...

I was just giving you a hard time. Did it really upset you that much?
Not at all, just weirded out a little. "Please punch yourself in the face" and "you're dumb AF" isn't how I talk to people I know in the real world, but you do you bro.

Heavy sigh

I like 6

5 Champions and 1 at-large, top 2 get a bye, 3 and 4 get a home game.

Does the best job of rewarding the regular season performance IMO. I have no interest in watching 3 or 4 loss teams ranked outside the Top 10 get a sniff at anything.

I like 12 vs 8 because we all should know by now that 8 teams (power 5 champs, highest ranked non-power 5, and 2 at large bids) will still get us back to SEC teams taking those at-large bids.
And 12 just increases the number of SEC teams….

Expanded playoffs will kill bowls. No problem. Bowls will need to move to Labor Day. Which should work out well enough. Every team is undefeated. Warmer weather for people to travel. Northern cities can host bowl games.

Perfect. No more than 8.
Yeah, I agree 8 teams max. Top 4 teams play the first round at home. The rest of the rounds can be played as they are today if they still want to preserve the bowls. Playing the first round at home keeps the regular reason more meaningful as well. Which AD wouldn't want an extra home game for the $$$??
