Guys, I just wanted to give you guys an update on things...
a. The changes that were made yesterday on our end seem to have a very positive impact on the very large majority of people that were having refresh issues.
A few features were disabled in order to get us there, including the search tool. The search tool will be turned back on within the hour. If anyone starts having refresh issues once the search feature is restored, please tell us asap. From now until midnight tonight, we'd like to get an idea on whether that impacted the performance.
A small note will do. As many of you that can provide feedback as possible is incredibly helpful. If it causes problems, we'll take it down and figure out what else needs to be taken out from a memory standpoint that will allow the performance improvements to remain, while allowing the search tool to be active.
b. A few people have been having issues with being asked to login after clicking on new threads. I'm told that while the timing isn't great, it is unrelated to the changes made to enhance performance issues on the Apple products we've had issues with. I'm being told that it's a bug that is being worked on, but by a completely different team than the one working on this issue.
c. If you are one of the small percentage of people still having refresh issues (based on the feedback we've received), please consider doing the following:
can you go to the bottom of the page where theme is selected (button that says "Rivals Light" / "Rivals Dark"):
and select "Default Style" (NOT "use default style", because that will just go back to "Rivals light"):
You will then see the forum like this which will help tell us if there's are Rivals theme-specific issues that haven't previously been established
That forum isn't idea because it doesn't include the color schemes that we are on and is a slightly different set-up, but the issues related to refreshing apparently do not exist on this board. This will allow you to use the browser that you prefer without the refresh issues if the changes that have been made aren't helping yet.
