The Department of Justice, under the Acting Deputy Attorney General, issued a memo today to all 93 U.S. Attorney's Offices. This memo outlines new immigration enforcement directives and provides charging and sentencing guidelines for state and local officials who attempt to obstruct ICE and CBP during immigration enforcement operations. Key points include:

• Enhanced Immigration Enforcement: The DOJ is reallocating resources to bolster immigration law enforcement, including redirecting FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Forces to support these initiatives.

• Prosecution of Non-Compliant State and Local Officials: State and local officials who resist or obstruct federal immigration enforcement may face prosecution. U.S. Attorneys are instructed to investigate such incidents for potential legal action.

• Mandatory Reporting: U.S. Attorneys must report to DOJ headquarters any cases where prosecution of non-compliant officials is declined.

ALL 93 US Attorney's offices have to send "URGENT" Reports directly to Pam Bondi or the Deputy AG ONLY with the names and positions of the officials that are believed to be or have been refusing to cooperate with ICE and CBP. That means jails can no longer refuse to cooperate with ICE detainers that are sent to the jails and anyone releasing ICE targets to save them from ICE officers coming to detain them will be prosecuted.

This Administration is deploying a LOT of "you fvcked around and now you are finding out" strategy and it is AWESOME.
