My annual proselytizing for the Trinidad Sour

Every year at this time, I preach that the Trinidad Sour should be everyone's go to Christmas cocktail. 1) It tastes like Christmas; 2) it looks like Christmas and 3) It is almost a party trick since the main alcohol is angostura bitters. People are amazed by this fact. Not saying it should replace eggnog, but if you are looking for something different, give it a shot

Recipe:

• 1 1/2 ounces Angostura bitters
• 1/2 ounce rye whiskey
• 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
• 1 ounce orgeat
• Garnish: lemon twist

Add the Angostura bitters, rye whiskey, lemon juice and orgeat into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.

Double-strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.

Garnish with a lemon twist.

Easy to make and very tasty .
