For whatever reason, I've been around a lot more Aggies than Sooners over the years. My college girlfriend's older brother was in the Corp, several of my bosses and some friends were Aggies, etc. Now, my son is a Freshman at A&M. He was raised to be a diehard Longhorn - to the point that he cried when he was 5 and we happened to go through A&M on a road trip and asked him to take a picture there. He didn't get into the major he wanted at Texas and now he couldn't be happier at A&M. I'm very happy for him, but I miss his companionship at these games (the last vs Washington). I've adopted some to pull for A&M against everyone else (Chance Mock does that as well for you hard liners), but obviously I hope Texas blows their doors off on Saturday.
Now it's game week and my wife (Colorado State alumni) bought one of those house divided flags and placed it in the front yard. I didn't object because it has Texas on top. She now says she's pulling for whoever the home team is every year. My dad (no college) is coming over and will pull for the Texas but I think will be somewhat less passionate vs A&M. So, this truly will be a bit of a house divided. How are others handling this? I'm sure there are good stories.
