I think there's a clear top tier that includes two players; Towns and Russell. I think there's a very good chance both of these guys will be franchise players. The type who if they reach their ceiling they can be the best player on a championship team. Keep in mind that players rarely reach their ceiling.

Then there's a second tier of guys who will be plus-players, the type who can be the second best player on a championship team if they reach their ceilings; Porzingis, Mudiay, Okafor, Winslow, Cauley-Stine, and Hezonja.

Tyus Jones has been rumored to the Rockets for awhile, almost to the point that it seems like the Rockets might be letting it leak because they like someone else. I like him a lot as a sixth guy off the bench type since he's not the biggest or most athletic guy, so he'd probably struggle to guard most of the starting point guards in the league when exposes for long amounts of time, but he's talented enough to be really effective on offense. What he did as a true freshman in the tournament was impressive.

From a Chad Ford chat a week or so ago

Q: What's all this I hear about Tyus Jones and the Rockets giving a promise?

A: He "hurt" his back in a workout with the Rockets. Quit working out. The Rockets love him. Thus the speculation (and it's speculation) that perhaps they shut him down by promising totake him at 18 if he quit working out. We'll see if Jones starts working out again in the next fewweeks. But I do get it from both sides. The Rockets need a point guard and are big onanalytics. Most analytics models are very high on Jones. Jones would have a chance to playmajor minutes on a good team. That has to be very appealing. What number you are drafted at doesn't matter nearly as much as where you are drafted
