NCAA Baseball Transfer Portal Thread - UPDATED 6/29

6/29 UPDATE:

USC catcher Garret Guillemette is transferring to Texas for the 2023 season
- 6'1" Sophomore appeared in 48 games and made 44 starts for the Trojans during the 2021 season earning All-Pac 12 accolades in his first collegiate season
  - 2021 Season Stats: .299 / 44 Hits, 10 2B, 3 HR, .429 SLG%, .370 OB%
  - 2022 Season Stats: .286 / 54 Hits, 10 2B, 5 HR, .429 SLG %, .354 OB%
- Garret was named to the 2022 Buster Posey watch list to begin the 2022 season
- Garret entered the transfer portal two days ago and Texas moved immediately to secure his signature

RHP Daniel Blair has entered the transfer portal as a Graduate Transfer

6/28 UPDATE:

The portal giveth, the portal taketh away....
- Freshman RHP Jack Arthur has entered the portal. Arthur did not make any appearances in 2022.

So RHP Heston Tole of Arkansas has announced that he is transferring to the University of Texas for the 2023 season.
- 6'6", 220 lbs righty from Wichita Falls
- 2021 season - 11 appearances out of bullpen going 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA in 12 IP. Struck out 20 with only 2 walks.
- 2022 season - 10 appearances with a 2-0 record and 3.77 ERA in 14.1 IP, striking out 20 with just 3 walks.
Made a couple of updates to Texas Tech and West Virginia.
Trying to confirm it, but there is a rumor that Ok State starting pitcher Bryce Osmond is in the transfer portal...very interesting if true
Texas A&M mid-week starter Khristian Curtis entered the portal. He is a guy Texas should give a look at (2-0, 1.442 ERA, 5 appearances, 5 starts, 19 IP)

6/27 UPDATE:

Freshman 1B Gavin Kash has entered the transfer portal
R-So RHP Justin Eckhardt has entered the transfer portal

6/25 UPDATE:

Freshman RHP Joshua Stewart has entered the transfer portal. He is headed to Texas A&M

This thread is dedicated to college baseball transfer portal, who is in it, where are they going and whether or not Texas will be involved with any transfers this off-season as they have the past two seasons.

Texas Needs:

SS/2B - Daly/O'Dowd will battle for 2B and SS per their exit interviews. Texas has three SS committed but Coffey and Flores look improbable due to MLB Draft, leaving Duplantier as the only incoming SS.
3B - With the departure of Skyler Messinger, Texas has a need to fill at 3B from the transfer portal or possibly one of the incoming freshman.
OF - Hodo looking to make the move to MLB leaves an open spot in the OF
Starting Pitcher - Horns could definitely look to the portal to fill a need as Pete Hansen and Tristan Stevens depart, leaving just Lucas Gordon. I am not counting on Tanner Witt due to timing of TJ surgery yet. I do expect LHP Chris Stuart from San Jac to take the Sunday role currently.
Bullpen - I would not be shocked to see the staff target a bullpen guy or two in the transfer portal.
