Trying to get my mom's 2014 CRV checked out before she gives it to my 19 year old son. Its got 135,000 miles on it

1st place: We take it to Texas First Honda to get a check up. They say the front sway bars need to be replaced. Well, we decline that & end up getting some fluids changed.

2nd place. So a week later, we take it to Lambs Automotive in Cedar Park. They tell us the sway bars are fine but the front right shock needs to be replaced in addition to an oil pan gasket leak. We take the car & leave.

3rd place: For some reason, my mom takes the car back to First Texas Honda to get a triple check opinion. Now they say the sway bars are fine, but the REAR shocks need to be replaced, & the timing chain cover is leaking & we need new O rings or some shit.

WTF???

We go from sway bars bad, to front strut/shock bad to sway bar fine but rear shocks & timing chain cover bad.

W....T....F?

Are these chain auto repair places & dealerships ripping people off?
