I give this story no more than a 40% chance of being accurate. Let’s presume it is accurate for a second, and let’s presume my long standing assertion that lebron will never leave the East is accurate.

What franchise in the East is a place where an old Lebron could have a liberal owner and win a championship? Who owns the 76ers and what do we know about him/her?

Now, scratch the East factor. Where is there a liberal owner with a currently competitive team?

I’ll admit to knowing very little about the politics of various NBA owners. I’d bet that probably at least 60-70% of them typically vote Republican simply due to trends among the wealthy. Are there any known Trump “haters” among them that have a solid team right now?
