If there is a team that can upset uconn right now it's Texas. Will they do it? I don't know but they are the team equipped to do it. When they played in Connecticut in December it ended up being an 18 point game but this team is much better than they were then. It would be a fun game if they meet up.
Yeah. The good news is they probably have a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. If not they'll be the top 2 seed which will keep them out of UConn's bracket till the final 4.
Not so fast my friend - still have to play Mulkey and the Lady Bears (probably twice including conference tournament). Kim is p*ssed about the last upset.
BTW - McCarty is as quick a female player as I've ever seen. Last year she was out of control. Last night she was the best player on the floor.
I think that every time I've see her play. She's insanely fast. Even with Baylor games upcoming I see no worse than a 2 seed
They have some strong recruiting classes ahead and a good team now. If they can keep landing the top Texas talent. They can build a brand and consistently compete with a Uconn. As for this year I was thinking if they can run into Uconn on a neutral court the .....well they'll lose. Too much experience. ..but they have a better chance than just about anyone else
Recruiting should be great. This year they have established themselves with the uconn, Baylor, ND, and South Carolina's of the world.
