Non-Texas games of interest this week

I’m curious to see Haynes King play at aggie. His first game last year he threw 3 INT’s against Kent State, then got knocked out in the second game running against Colorado. For whatever reason Jimbo has a hard on for this kid, but I have a feeling aggies won’t be too happy with his play this year.

I've never gotten the fascination with King. I think that he's a marginal FBS QB. Johnson is no better, and Weigman is a true freshman. They have questions on the OL, and are in great shape at RB and WR. I think that QB is going to be their downfall this year. I see a&m going no better than 9-3.

Haynes King is nothing more than a mediocre QB. Not having a QB is going to be the Aggies downfall for the next couple of years.

Even more interesting is that Zach Calzada transferred to Auburn where he is listed 3rd on the depth chart.
 
How much longer before a big money donor gets the idea we need to hire Jeff Traylor? Gotta be coming soon I’d imagine.

I’m a sark fan think he has us heading in the right direction and he’s recruiting the right type of guys to get us ready for SEC football. Was more of a joke . I’ve always thought the ONLY reason Herman got the job at UT was because he was winning at an in state school and had a loose connection to UT, and boosters falling in love with that overshadowed the fact that Herman’s resume was similar to the guy he was replacing. So I figure at some point some booster will get the idea that we need coach Traylor. No knock on him I think he’s a really good coach.
 
Oklahoma State’s defense looks like they are not going to be near as good as last season. They gave up 44 to Central Michigan. The loss of Jim Knowles was a huge one. Their offense looked pretty good though.
 
Big 12 defense thus far
Okie St gave up 424 yards in the air and 122 on the ground. pretty bad
WV gave up 308 in the air, but held Pitt on the ground to 76yds off 38 tries. Run defense is good.
 
The Morris qb kid from TCU went out with a knee injury, mcl I believe. He didn’t do very good but still hate to see a season ending injury

Max Duggan is still a pretty good backup option for them though. He’s got a ton of experience.

OU is running UTEP out of the stadium early. If Lincoln Riley was still coaching OU, this is the type of game that would be tied at halftime, and a one-score nail biter late in the 4th quarter.
 
OU is going to spank us if they play like this in October.
 
So can someone answer me this.....why are the UT affiliated schools like UTSA and UTEP have their damn area code on the sides of their helmets?
 
Houston played mega prevent defense to win, but UTSA, with only 23 seconds in the game, was able to go down the field far enough to get a fg. It is going to OT. Good game. 24-24

It's all fun and games until UTSA rolls into Austin and makes us look stupid.....
 
Please tell me Mack was not dancing after a defenseless shootout with App St. please tell me that’s an old video.
