Actually Fitzgerald is a damn good coach. He's a NW alum. They're fortunate to have him.

Pat Fitzgerald is a very good coach. Kind of a modern day Bill Snyder. At a program that doesn’t have much history of success. What it does have was mostly on the 20’s and 30’s. Is out talented in pretty much every game he coaches, never gets the blue chippers(because of academics for him.) yet every year he wins 7-10 games and knocks off a big boy or two.

If one of the blue bloods could ever entice him... I’d bet on them winning a national title at some point. Not sure they could ever get him though.

All that said not his best game today. He made some head scratching calls. Then again so did stoops, and the refs. Maybe the cold weather got to everyone
