- No updates on Sam other than the update yesterday, grade 1 sprain - hoping that with rest and rehab, he'll be "picking a football up" - evaluating as we go.

- Took an opportunity to thank Shane for how engaged he has stayed with his team, so impressed with his preparation and demeanor. Best Gameday coach we have for Sam. He led the team very well.

- Not concerned that the bye week kills momentum. The way we train is aggressive and physical and demanding and the bye week couldn't have come at a better time. This week is as much about getting our minds and bodies back than anything. Knows the team has bought into the 1-0 mentality, it won't change.

- Very complimentary of Shane- the best he's ever seen as far as a week-to-week preparer.

- Patrick Vahe was injured at the end of the game, sprained knee -- it wasn't major and he's cleared to practice this week. That's why Kerstetter was in at the end of the game. They were being cautious.

- "No idea" if this team is good enough to compete in the national playoffs. "I do believe I've seen good football in my time and our best is good enough to beat everybody ... playing our best every week is a tough challenge, but its relieving to know that if we play our best on Saturday we can play with and quite possibly beat anybody."

- There are certain guys like LJ Humphrey that football just makes sense to, looks at the game in a similar way to football coaches.
